Li Fengsen is a Doctor of Medicine, a professor/chief physician, a doctoral supervisor, an expert on special allowance of The State Council, a Tianshan Elite and a National Outstanding Respiratory Physician. Currently, he works as the research leader of COPD in the National Clinical Research Base of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
For 35 years, Professor Li has been committed to the clinical practice and research of pulmonary diseases. With patient visits every day, he has traced back to the source and drawn upon the strengths of others through extensive clinical practice and empirical research, and obtained multiple clinical research results, benefiting the patients. In China, he has taken the lead in proposing the special clinical phenotype of “acute” and “chronic” COPD development, found the gap in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis-related restricted airflow diseases, proposed the use traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis-related restricted airflow diseases and carried out a series of clinical and basic research.
